Siliguri, 10th December: Flight operations at Bagdogra Airport came to a standstill on Tuesday morning as dense fog blanketed the region, leading to significant inconvenience for passengers. No flights have taken off or landed so far, resulting in chaos at the airport due to the growing crowd of stranded passengers.
According to airport sources, visibility remains critically low, with reports confirming that 10 flights scheduled to land have yet to arrive. Flights originating from Kolkata, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Delhi remain airborne, awaiting clearance to land.
The disruption has forced a Mumbai-bound flight to divert to Guwahati, further complicating the situation. Despite the challenging conditions, officials are optimistic that flight operations will normalize by the end of the day. Meanwhile, passengers continue to face significant delays and uncertainty as they wait for updates on their flights.
