Alipurduar, 17th January: The ICDS staff recruitment test is being carried out today in different schools of Alipurduar district. However, allegations surfaced that the question papers did not reach the school within the allotted time. Hence, the examinees staged demonstrations.
As per the report, the question papers did not reach many schools including Loknathpur High School in Alipurduar Block No. 2, Majidkhana High School, Salsalabari High School, Rahimabad Workers High School in Kumargram Block, Alipurduar College, and Alipurduar Women’s College.
As soon as Anup Das, president of Alipurduar Block No. 2 Panchayat Samiti, reached Majidkhana High School, the examinees gheraoed him and staged a protest. A road blockade was also staged in NH-31.
Upon receiving the news, the Samuktala police reached the spot shortly after.
