Jalpaiguri, 25th July: The dead body of a worker of a private cement factory was found hanging from a noose in Kumarpara area of Jalpaiguri. The deceased has been identified as 45-year-old Pradeep Das.
According to the information, a few days ago a dispute broke out between the management of the said factory and its workers who demanded job permanency. Later, the factory management lodged a complaint at the police station accusing some workers of assaulting them. The deceased Pradeep Das was also named in the said complaint.
Allegedly, Pradeep Das was quite disturbed by this and today his body was recovered. Following the incident, the workers gathered in front of the factory gate demanding compensation.
