Darjeeling MP Raju Bista visits shops damaged in Bidhan Market fire incident

Siliguri, 07th October: Darjeeling MP Raju Bista visited the shops affected by a fire at Bidhan Market of Siliguri. During his visit, he expressed his frustration towards the fire department’s response.


The incident, which occurred on September 28, resulted in significant damage to numerous shops. On Monday, MP Bista took the opportunity to assess the situation and interact with the affected traders.

He assured the shopkeepers that financial assistance of ₹50,000 would be provided to those whose shops were completely destroyed. Additionally, Bista announced plans to make arragements for a water tank from the MP’s fund to help prevent extreme damage in the future.
