Rajganj, 30th August: After Siliguri Times’ news coverage, the Darjeeling District Legal Aid Forum extended their helping hand to the families of the three missing students in Rajganj.
On Monday, Amit Sarkar, President of Legal Aid Forum, visited the houses of the students and assured to help the families.
It is to recall, on May 02, a 20-year-old girl from Sahebbari village of Shikarpur gram panchayat in Rajganj went missing. Following this, on August 10, an 18-year-old girl from Bhangipara of Panikauri Gram Panchayat and a 16-year-old girl from Golandipara of Bahadur Gram Panchayat went missing. Written complaints have been lodged at the police station on behalf of the family members.
Amit Sarkar said that one of the three is a minor. The whole matter will be reported to the Child Protection Commission, district, and block administrations. Financial assistance will also be provided to them.
