Siliguri, 19th May: The Dabgram Fulbari Yuva Trinamool Congress submitted applications to various private schools demanding the authorities to waive off school fees during the lockdown period.
Such an initiative has been taken considering the difficulties being faced by the guardians paying the school fees in such a crisis. On the other hand, it has also been alleged that while all educational institutions are closed due to the lockdown, the schools are making huge profits by taking online classes.
The TMC leaders, on Tuesday, handed over an application to a private school located at the Ashighar Majhbari area in this regard. Gautam Goswami, President of the organization, stated that there are a total of 43 schools in the Dabgram-Fulbari assembly constituency and applications will be submitted in all the schools soon.
