Jalpaiguri, 26th March: Dabgram-Fulbari assembly independent candidate Alok Sen, who recently left the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), submitted his nomination papers on Friday.
“I formed BJP in the area. But the Trinamool brokers entered into the team and ruined the party. Hence, I have decided to fight as an independent candidate in Dabgram-Fulbari,” Alok Sen stated while addressing the media.
It is to be noted that Alok Sen and his supporters expressed outrage after BJP fielded Shikha Chatterjee as the party’s candidate for the Dabgram-Fulbari assembly. Following this, he held a press conference and announced to quit the party.
