Siliguri, 30th April: With the alarming COVID-19 situation in Siliguri, many have come forward intending to create awareness among the people regarding the virus. In view of this, Darjeeling District, Communist Party of India (Marxist) CPI(M) launched a campaign to raise COVID-19 awareness in Siliguri, on Friday.
On this occasion, CPI(M) leader and outgoing MLA Ashok Bhattacharya accompanied by other party cadres hung placards around their neck and distributed leaflets among the people of Siliguri. During the campaign, he blamed Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the current situation in the country and said that the outbreak has taken a terrible turn due to the ignorance of the Central Government.
