CPI (ML) stages a demonstration in Siliguri protesting against Delhi violence

Siliguri, 26th February: In response to the Delhi violence, a rally was staged on behalf of the Communist Party of India (Marxist–Leninist) (CPI (ML)) in Siliguri’s Hashmi Chowk. The rally concluded at Hashmi Chowk after touring the various routes of the city. During the rally, the CPI (ML) activists chanted slogans against the Central Government and also burned the effigy of Home Minister Amit Shah.


The members of the CPI (ML) were present during the rally. CPI (ML) leader Abhijit Majumdar stated that the Central Government is responsible for yesterday’s violence in Delhi. Majumdar further alleged that the violent incident was initiated under the command of BJP leader Kapil Mishra. The CPI (ML) has demanded the resignation of Kapil Mishra and the Minister of Home Affairs Amit Shah.
