Cooch Behar, 19th April: Cooch Behar district is in the headlines on the polling day. As voting commenced, several reports of unrest have come to light. In one such incident in Mathabhanga, a dispute sparked over the installation of Trinamool party booths.
Reportedly, the BJP has been accused of assaulting a TMC polling agent in No. 5/53 Genruguri Booth of Nayarhat Gram Panchayat of Mathabhanga Block I. Sources revealed that about 3 to 4 TMC workers were allegedly injured during the unrest.
