Siliguri, 31st May: The NJP Jatiyatabadi City Auto Association informed that city autos will be permitted to ply on the streets of Siliguri from Monday.
However, the auto owners demanded that they should be allowed to board passengers as per the seating capacity of their vehicle. And if administration files a case against the autos in this regard, they will then stop their operation.
On the other hand, the auto drivers stated that at least 1,300 autos travel on different routes in the city. They further stated that due to the lockdown, many people had found an alternative to earn a living.
The drivers are happy regarding the decision of allowing the autos to ply from tomorrow.
