Siliguri, 01st March: The central forces reached Siliguri on Saturday ahead of the assembly elections. Route marches were carried out at various parts of the city since this morning.
The central forces marched in Dangipara, the adjoining areas of Burdwan Road, Vivekananda Road, Khalpara, and Nayabazar area. The army jawans and the police personnel also interacted with the general public.
As per the reports, the central forces will conduct route marches in different parts of the city in the coming days as well. As of now, one company of the central forces reached the city.
