Rajganj, 27th October: A car plunged into a roadside ditch after being hit by a truck on the Siliguri-Jalpaiguri National Highway in the Bakhoabari area of Rajganj. The driver narrowly escaped with his life in the accident.
According to reports, the car was travelling from Jalpaiguri towards Siliguri when a goods truck moving along the same road hit it. Following the collision, the driver lost control of the car, which plunged into a ditch beside the highway.
The truck reportedly fled the scene after the accident. However, it was later intercepted near Jatiakali after being chased.
Police have recovered the damaged car and launched an investigation into the incident.
