Alipurduar, 22nd February: Sensation prevailed after the body of a man was recovered from a sewer in the Kalchini area of Alipurduar district. The deceased has been identified as Sobnath Lohara.
The locals sighted the body lying at a sewer in Kalchini Baseline area on Monday morning and informed the police. Following this, the Kalchini police reached the spot, recovered the body, and sent it to Alipurduar district hospital for an autopsy.
According to police sources, Lohara had been missing for the past one week.
