Jalpaiguri, 25th September: Tension prevailed in the Nayabasti area of Jalpaiguri after the blood-soaked body of a man was found inside a bakery on Friday morning. The deceased was identified as Hafijur Rahman, a resident of the Pursurah police station area in Hooghly district, who worked as the manager of the bakery.
According to reports, Rahman was found lying in a pool of blood inside the bakery early in the morning. Following the discovery, police from the Kotwali Police Station reached the spot and recovered the body.
Preliminary investigation suggests that Rahman may have been attacked with a heavy object. Police suspect that the incident could be linked to an alleged robbery attempt.
The body was sent for post-mortem examination, while police have launched an investigation to identify those involved in the incident and determine the circumstances surrounding the death.
