Siliguri, 23rd February: A blood donation camp has been organized in front of Siliguri College Gate under the initiative of Darjeeling District Trinamool Chhatra Parishad (TMCP) and Siliguri Town Trinamool Chhatra Parishad (TMCP) in collaboration with Lions Club of Siliguri. Notably, the camp has been organized to overcome the shortage of blood.
The camp witnessed the presence of Siliguri Municipal Corporation Mayor Gautam Deb, Deputy Mayor Ranjan Sarkar, Chairman Pratul Chakraborty, Ward No. 17 Councilor Mili Seal Sinha, Darjeeling District Trinamool Congress President Papiya Ghosh and others.
Reportedly, on Friday, the locals and college students donated blood in the camp. Significantly, the camp collected 104 units of blood. The collected blood was later sent to Siliguri Terai Lions Blood Bank.
