Cooch Behar, 03rd February: The Mekhliganj Police arrested 3 men on the charge of smuggling Bangladeshi Hilsa. One vehicle has also been detained in the incident. The accused have been identified as Bishnupada Roy, Bimal Roy and Ratan Roy, residents of the Kuchlibari Police station area.
An estimated 42 kg of Bangladeshi Hilsa has been recovered from the accused. As per the report, the fish were being transported across the border illegally.
