Siliguri, 22nd February: During a press conference at the Siliguri Journalists Club, Trinamool Congress of the Siliguri assembly constituency stated that for the upcoming assembly polls they will go ahead with the newly launched campaign slogan “Bangla nijer meyeke chae” (Bengal wants its own daughter).
TMC leader Nantu Pal said that the programme centred on the Siliguri assembly commenced from today. In the coming days, campaigns will be held in different wards, blocks, and booths.
Darjeeling District (Plain) Trinamool Congress spokesperson Bedabrata Dutta said they are hopeful of winning the Assembly constituencies by taking the said slogan forward.
