Jalpaiguri, 26th September: A bakery manager was allegedly murdered in the Nayabasti area of Jalpaiguri, with Kotwali Police Station arresting bakery employee Noor Alam Sheikh from Murshidabad within a few hours of the incident.
According to police sources, Noor Alam was identified after investigators examined CCTV footage from the bakery. Police later learned that he had fled to Murshidabad and, with the assistance of Murshidabad Police, arrested him there. He was brought to Jalpaiguri on Saturday.
Police are investigating the reason behind the murder and whether anyone else was involved in the incident.
