Siliguri, 20th March: In a shocking incident, the Assistant Manager of Jayantika Tea Garden, under Siliguri Mahakuma, was brutally murdered on Thursday afternoon. The deceased has been identified as Nilanjan Bhadra, a resident of Hamiltonganj, who had been serving as the assistant manager of the tea garden for many years.
As per reports, Bhadra lived near the tea garden with his family. On Thursday afternoon, he went out on his bike to inspect work in the garden when he received a phone call. While speaking on the call, he was suddenly attacked from behind, causing him to collapse in a pool of blood.
The incident occurred in the Bamboo Line of Section No. 14 in the tea garden. His lifeless body was later discovered by tea workers.
Upon receiving information, police from Phansidewa police station and Naxalbari SDPO reached the spot. The police are currently interrogating the family of the deceased as part of the investigation.
