Siliguri, 30th October: The Anandamoyee Kalibari hosted the unveiling of a bust of revolutionary folk poet Mukunda Das on the temple premises. The ceremony was inaugurated by Siliguri Mayor Gautam Deb.
Notably, Mukunda Das played a significant role in establishing the temple in Siliguri. The unveiling event featured special guest Tikendrajit Mukherjee, who was honored by Mayor Deb. The event also witnessed the presence of Deputy Mayor Ranjan Sarkar and other dignitaries. Additionally, several cultural programs were organized.
The general secretary of the temple, Bhaskar Biswas, expressed that the decision to install Mukunda Das’s bust had been long-standing. The decision was finally put into action.
