Allegations Against BJP: TMC’s Temporary election office in Cooch Behar’s Tufanganj set ablaze

Cooch Behar, 19th April: Reports of unrest have emerged from various areas in Cooch Behar district with the first phase of Lok Sabha elections 2024. Allegations have been raised against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for setting ablaze the temporary election office of Trinamool Congress (TMC).


According to reports, the incident took place in the Harirhat area of Barakodal Gram Panchayat under Tufanganj Block No. 02. It is to be noted that the BJP claimed victory in Barakodal Gram Panchayat with a majority vote during the previous Panchayat elections.

On Friday, allegations surfaced against the BJP for setting fire to the temporary Trinamool office. Meanwhile, the officials of the Bakshirhat Police Station arrived at the scene upon receiving the report. However, there has been no response from the BJP regarding these allegations.
