Jalpaiguri, 14th September: A 6-year old child died of fever and pneumonia at Jalpaiguri Sadar Hospital. The deceased has been identified as Kaveri Roy of Mekhliganj in Cooch Behar.
According to the hospital authorities, the child was admitted to the hospital’s pediatric department in a critical condition on Monday. The child died while undergoing treatment, this morning. The body has been handed over to the family.
At present, 102 children are undergoing treatment at the pediatric department of Jalpaiguri Sadar Hospital. However, the COVID report of the children undergoing treatment has come back negative.
