Rajganj, 24th November: The annual Raas Mela is being held in the Malibhita area of Belakoba to celebrate the Raas festival. The event has been organized and managed by the RSCC Club.
The event is being celebrated in its 39th year by the Belakoba Malibhita Raas Mela Committee, under the jurisdiction of the Shikarpur Gram Panchayat in Rajganj block.
The five-day fair, which began earlier this week, will conclude on Monday. The fair has attracted large crowds every day, with people not only from Belakoba but also from neighboring villages and towns flocking to the event.
Club members shared that the fair has been held annually for 39 years, showcasing Lord Krishna’s divine ‘leelas’ through idol displays. Each evening, cultural performances are held, including ‘Palatia’ songs, ‘Baul,’ and ‘Bhawaiya’ music. The event has drawn a large crowd, with people from across the Rajganj block and the district coming to experience the celebrations.
The Raas Mela continues to be a major cultural attraction in the region, offering a blend of religious reverence and local tradition.
