Siliguri, 05th September: Four people have been arrested by the police for luring and robbing senior citizens and womenof their gold jewellery.
The crooks, however, were arrested a few days ago after a victim, lodged a complaint at Siliguri police station. Based on the complaint, the Siliguri police began investigating the incident and eventually arrested 4 crooks.
The arerst have been identifed as Kishore Roy, Arjun Mali, Naru Mali and Raju Saha. While Arjun Mali is a resident of Cooch Behar, the other 3 arrested are residents of Siliguri.
The police seized some gold jewellery, mobile phones and two-wheelers from theit possesion. As per the police sources, all the accused are involved in various crimes.
DCP of Siliguri police station, today, held a press conference and stated that the arrested were conducting their heinous crime in various parts of the city. He maintained that the police are interrogating them thoroughly to gather as much information as possible for further investigation.
