Siliguri, 28th August: Sensation prevailed after 25-year-old Partho Lohar was found hanging in Devidanga under the Pradhan Nagar police station.
According to the information, a woman of the same area found Partho’s lifeless body hanging from a tree outside her window. The news spread like fire and the locals immediately informed the Pradhan Nagar police station. On receiving the news, the police reached the spot and took the body in their possession. Later, it was sent to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital for post-mortem.
At present, the police have assumed the matter to be a case of suicide. However, the locals are quite taken aback by the incident as Partho did not have any dispute with anyone. He worked as a blacksmith and lived with his ailing father. Locals said that Partho did not show any potential warning signs for suicide. He spent yesterday as usual, upbeat, and normal.
