To mark the 25 years of Babri Masjid’s demolition in Ayodhya, six activists of the Bajrang Dal were engaged in the preparations of the ‘Shaurya Divas’ that was planned to be organized by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) in Siliguri.
The police arrested the activists on Wednesday. At a press conference today, VHP’s North Bengal Additional Secretaries, Anup Mandal and Rakesh Agrawal, shared that had asked for written permission from the Siliguri Police for celebrating the Shaurya Divas.
Sources share that the police had given the permission, but not in any written form. Despite the fact, the police arrested the activists; following which the VHP decided to take legal action against the administration.
