Two Men Drown In Raiganj’s River, One Body Recovered

Due to the strong water current, two young men who had gone to catch clamshells in a river drowned and got swept away. The incident has been reported from the Rudrakhand Village of Raiganj in North Dinajpur.

One of the men’s body has been found and the search is on to recover the other body. The deceased whose body has been found has been identified as Swapan Dev Sharma. 

According to reports, three men namely Rudrakhand Village resident Viplav Singh, Panishala resident Swapan Dev Sharma and Hemtabad resident Vinod Dev Sharma had gone to the Kulik River to catch clamshells. The strong current of the water caused Swapan and Vinod to drown later. 

The locals of the area recovered Swapan’s corpse with the help of a fishing net. Meanwhile, the police commenced an operation to recover Vinod’s body.
