Two Leopards caught in a cage planted by forest department 

Two leopards have been caught in two different cages put up by the forest department in various places of Jalpaiguri district. An adult female leopard was trapped in a cage planted by forest department in Binnaguri Army Cantonment on Wednesday morning. On receiving this information, forest workers reached the spot and recovered the leopard and took her to the Gorumara National Park.

On the other hand, in Doars’s I Will Tea Garden, a cage was planted by the forest department, in which a male leopard was trapped. Workers from the plantation saw the leopard trapped inside the cage this morning. After this, the information was given by the plantation management to forest personnel.

As soon as the news was received, the forest workers of Khunia Range reached the spot and took the leopard into the Gorumara National Park. In this regard, the warden of the Jalpaiguri Onnari Wild Life, Seema Chaudhary said that both leopards have been released in the forest.
