Tribal Woman Attacked & Killed In Chopra, One Arrested

A tribal woman was attacked with a bladed weapon on the head in broad daylight and killed in the Golamigachh locality of Chopra, reports state.

The blood-covered woman was initially rushed to the Dalua Health Centre and was then referred to the North Bengal Medical College and Hospital- where she died.

The deceased was a 35-years old tea estate worker named Minu Tirkey. On Monday, she returned home from work around her usual time; but then went out again to run some errand.

Suddenly, Minu Tirkey screamed and the people rushed to her aid only to find her covered in blood. She was rushed for the treatment, but Minu could not make it.

In connection to the case, the Chopra Police arrested a man named Sanjay Oraon on Monday night. However, the mystery behind the murder has not been solved yet.
