A meeting has been organized by the Commissioner of the West Bengal Transportation Department, P. K. Dutta to discuss different issues of the department at the office of District Magistrate in Coochbehar today.
The Commissioner also visited the Coochbehar Motor Vehicle and NBSTC office to take stock of the situation. He instructed the police to increase the police surveillance on the check-posts.
P.K. Dutta stated, “Coochbehar and Murshidabad districts falls under my responsibility.” He further added that he will arrive in Coochbehar during next month.
On being questioned about the gang of brokers in the transportation department, the Commissioner said that he will take proper action in the case on receiving the report.
