Tourism Minister of the state Gautam Deb met South superstar Rajinikanth today. During this time he had a lot of conversations about the natural beauty of North Bengal and tourism development here. It is known that superstar Rajinikanth has come to Kurseong in connection to the shooting of his film.
After this meeting, Tourism Minister Gautam Deb said that Rajinikanth is quite impressed by the natural beauty of the Darjeeling mountains. The minister said that Rajinikanth stated that this place is very favorable for the shooting of his cinema. He wondered why films don’t get shot here. The minister told them that the films like Aradhana, Anusandhan, Barfi etc. have been shot here.
The minister assured them that the state government, district administration, etc. would give all possible assistance to film directors shooting here. Minister Gautam Deb told that before arrival, Rajinikanth had spoken to Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and that he had come here along with her best wishes today. The Tourism Minister expressed hope that in the future, one Film City each would be built in South Bengal and North Bengal.
