Three Indians and two citizens of Cameroon held in Panitanki

Two people from Cameroon who had came illegally from Nepal was held at Panitanki checkpost in the Indo-Nepal border by the BIT personnel of the 41st Battalion of SSB.

The detained foreign duo are football players, who play in a club in Kolkata. Three Indian nationals have also been arrested for illegally taking and bringing these people to Nepal.

Giving information, Rajeev Rana, Commandant of SSB’s 41st Battalion, said that these people had illegally entered Nepal and were returning to India. Some Indian nationals were taking them illegally to Nepal to play football without proper travel documents, and these five were caught while attempting to come back. The arrested persons have been handed over to the Kharibari police.
