The SFI activist, Sukrity Ash, was arrested from Howrah for allegedly trying to put Kerosene oil on the police was presented in Siliguri court today, where the judge rejected his bail plea and directed him to be taken on a five day police remand.
It should be known that a few days ago, a rally was organised by the Left Front on Hillcart Road wherein a clash broke out between the people who were involved in the rally and the police. At the same time, several people, including Sukrity, were charged with attempting to burn the police officers with kerosene oil. After this the police filed the case and on Wednesday, Sukrity was arrested from Howrah. Today he was brought to Siliguri.
