Students protest in Buddha Bharati School

Siliguri, 12th September (Priyadarshini Biswas): The students of Siliguri Buddha Bharati School staged a sit-in protest at the head teacher’s office demanding proper midday meal as well as allotting faculties for various subjects.
Upon receiving the news, the Bhaktinagar police reached the spot. The students alleged that there are no faculties of political science and Sanskrit from many days. Therefore they demand the immediate appointment of faculties. Besides, they also want a proper mid-day meal to be provided to them.
Swapnendu Nandi, Headteacher of the school informed that the validity of the school’s managing committee expired on 29th April and despite sending letters to D.I. Swapan Samanta several times, no response has been received yet. He assured of providing a settlement regarding the issue soon.
