Siliguri’s Chandmoni Mela Gets Crowded With Devotees For Maha Shivratri

A huge crowd of devotees has been flocking at the Chandmoni Mela in Matigara, Siliguri since the afternoon today to mark Maha Shivratri. 

The Chandmoni Mela is organized every year for Maha Shivratri and it always attracts huge numbers of people, which is the scene this year too. 

Locals share that the Chandmoni Mela will be equally crowded in the night. Merchants have also set up their stalls in the fair as a lot of people are arriving from different areas of the state along with coming from Bihar and Bangladesh. 

According to administrative sources, the Chandmoni Police will be keeping a strict eye on the area for the entire night to ensure that no anti-social activities take place.
