Rs. 36,000 Of Fake Currency Found In Alipurduar's Lottery Counter, One Arrested

Rs. 36,000 worth fake Indian currency was seized by the Shamuktala Police from a lottery counter in the Bhatibari locality of Shamuktala in Alipurduar-2 Block.


One man named Rahim Miyan has been arrested in connection to the case. He is a 28-years old resident of the North Dalfale in Toofanganj, Coochbehar.

It has been found that Rahim was using the fake currency notes from the lottery counter yesterday. The police received an input and ran an operation which led them to arrest Rahim with Rs. 36,000 of fake currency notes in his possession.


At present, Rahim is on police remand. The police is interrogating him to know more about the case.
