Reporter Attacked In Siliguri’s Bidhan Nagar

A reporter was attacked by a gang while he had gone to cover news in Bidhan Nagar of Siliguri. The injured has been recognized as Pikai Ghosh.

Ghosh shared that the Agriculture Department of the state government had organized an agricultural fair in the premises of Bidhan Nagar Santoshini Vidyachakra School which had been inaugurated on Wednesday.

On the other hand, annual exams are also being conducted in the school; which raises eyebrows as to why the loud speakers are being played during the fair in such situation.

Ghosh had gone to gather the news about the incident when a gang of people attacked him. He filed a written complaint at the Bidhan Nagar Police Station today.

The members of the Siliguri Journalists Club and the Secretary, Anshuman Chakrabarty visited Ghosh’s residence to meet him.
