Remembering 9/11, 18 years later

Today marks the 18 years of 9/11 terror on New York’s World Trade Center, a tragedy that had long-lasting effects. A total of 2,977 people died after Islamist hijackers took over four transcontinental aircraft – two departing from Boston and two from New York Newark.

To mark the anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo has signed a new law which mandates public schools across the state to allow a brief moment of silence each year.
