Protests In Siliguri Over Attack On BJP Supporters

On Friday, there was a clash when the ‘Pratirodh Sankalp’ rally of the Bhartiya Janata Yuva Morcha was demonstrating in Kolkata. The BJP supporters had alleged that they had been attacked by TMC supporters.

Today, protests are raging against the incident in Siliguri along with the whole of North Bengal. Slogans are being raised against the state government as the BJP members and supporters condemn the attack.

The Siliguri Organizational District President, Praveen Agarwal, accused the state of killing democracy. “The BJP leaders are being attacked and the state government’s opposition parties are not even allowed to hold a protest that falls well within the constitution’s boundary,” is what Praveen Agarwal said.

The party’s mandal committees in Matigara, Kharibari, Phansidewa and Bagdogra have also been actively demonstrating around police stations.
