A rally was organized on behalf of the Cooch Behar district Trinamool Yuva Congress on Friday in protest of the incident against the killing of five Bengali citizens in a terrorist attack in Tinsukia of Assam.
In this rally, other dignitaries including Cooch Behar District Trinamool Youth Congress president and MP Partha Pratim Roy, MLA from Cooch Behar South Vidhan Sabha, Mihir Goswami, Youth Trinamool leader Abhijit Dey Bhaumik were present.
This rally was removed from the Trinamool Congress office located at Coochbehar station intersection and encircled around various routes of the city. In the state ruled by the BJP, because of the occurrence of such an incident, slogans and banners were used to protest against them.
Trinamool Youth Congress President Partha Pratim Roy said that in the name of NRC, BJP is driving away Bengali citizens from Assam, due to which people are committing suicide. Such incidents have happened in the BJP-ruling state. The rally was taken out against this.
