Precious jewellery and money stolen from temple near Mathabhanga

A Kali temple near Mathabhanga in Cooch Behar district has been robbed. After the incident of theft, the members of the temple committee have informed the incident to the police.

Shambhu Saha, a member of the temple committee, told that on Thursday night, the temple lock was broken and the thief disappeared with the temple’s Kali Maa idol’s golden eye, bindi, silver anklets,and about 20 thousand rupees in cash.

People say that there is no security system in the temple. On the other hand, a written complaint has been lodged in the police station regarding this incident. Police have gathered in on the investigation of the incident on the basis of complaint.
