One Caught With Deer Horns In Jaigaon’s Manglabari

Based on inputs received from sources, forest officials along with battalion headquarter soldiers as well as the ‘D’ Coy Jaigaon troops of SSB’s 53rd Battalion Shimlabari executed an operation in Manglabari, Jaigaon last night.

Reports state that around 11 o’ clock in the night, the team caught one man with two deer horns weighing 2 kgs in his possession. 

The accused, Gopal Thapa, stated that he hails from Alipurduar district’s Jaigaon area. According to Arvind Kumar, the Commanding Officer of SSB’s 53rd Battalion Shimlabari, the seized deer horns and Thapa have been turned over to the custody of the Forest Range office in Hamiltonganj.
