One arrested in Siliguri for taking money in the name of ACP

NJP police has arrested a person for duping businessmen posing as ACP (East) Achintya Gupta and taking money from them. The name of the arrested person is Parth Bhowmik and he is said to be a resident of Surya Sen colony.

It has been known that this person had been receiving money from various businessmen for a long time in the name of ACP Achintya Gupta. Parth Bhowmick, also sought money from calling the brother of Trinamool Congress leader Gautam Goswami, Sanjay Goswami recently.

After this, Sanjay Goswami gave him 20 thousand rupees but on suspicion he filed a written complaint in this regard in the NJP police station.

On the basis of the complaint, the police started investigation and arrested Parth Bhowmik this morning. On the other hand, Siliguri’s Police Commissioner Bharat Lal Meena said that a man was taking the names of police officials, and collecting money from the businessmen. In this case a person has been arrested. Investigations are being done to find out more about who all was involved.
