“NRC will not be implemented in the state till I’m alive”: Chief Minister

Siliguri, 21st October: During the Vijaya Sammelan, held in Siliguri, today, the Chief Minister of the State, Mamata Banerjee said, “NRC will not be implemented in the state till I’m alive”.


The Chief Minister of the State, Mamata Banerjee, attended the Vijaya Sammelan held at Mallaguri Police Line in Siliguri, today. During the event, the Chief Minister, regarding NRC, said “Remember one thing, there will be no partition of any kind. We are all rightful citizens. We are the citizens of India as we have voting rights”. She further stated that all those living in Bengal, are citizens of India. “The freedom struggle has given us this right”, the CM further stated.

The Chief Minister also said that “I assure you that NRC will not be implemented here”. Referring to a particular section, the Chief Minister stated that those people are being misunderstood about NRC.
