Northeast Frontier services stopped due to continuous rainfall

The Northeast frontier services have been stopped due to the continuous rainfall since the past 24 hours. Accidents like short-circuits have been occurring due to the accumulation of rainwater in the rail lines. Due to this, the signalling system has been stalled.

The sliding of the soil under the railway lines has affected the traffic. The Down Rajdhani Express, Down Kranti Express, Down Capital Express and almost 10 trains from far-away have been stalled in various stations in Assam. Meanwhile, the Weather Department has forecasted that the East Dooars region will experience heavy downpour in the next 24 hours.
