Mukul Roy Accuses State Govt. Of Taking Away Voting Rights

Bhartiya Janata Party’s leader, Mukul Roy, who recently jumped ship from Trinamool Congress to join BJP, has accused the state government of taking away the voting rights of the state’s citizen.

Mukul Roy said that there was no democracy in the state for 34 years during the rule of the left front government.

“In 2011, people came forward to bring democracy and change. Everything was going smoothly till the year 2014. Now, the state government has taken away the rights of the people with the help of the police administration in the Municipality elections”, Mukul Roy said.

Mukul Roy also said that the SJDA scam should investigated by the central agencies.BJP’s state President Dilip Ghosh, state Supervisor and Union Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya, Siliguri’s District Magistrate Pravin Agrawal and other people were also present there during the time.
