Mother – daughter duo wounded in elephant attack in Moraghat tea plantation

Two houses were damaged in an elephant attack in Moraghat tea plantation under Binnagudi village panchayat late on Friday night. At the same time a woman and her five-year-old daughter were also injured in the incident.

The names of the injured have been stated as Sumanti Uraon (26) and Sonakshi Uraon. Both of them are being treated at North Bengal Medical College and Hospital.

It has been reported that in the new line of Moraghat tea plantation, an elephant created a havoc and destroyed two houses last night. The wall of Sumanti Uraon and Sonakshi Uraon’s house, fell on them during the elephant’s attack. Both of them narrowly survived. After this both of them were taken to the hospital.
