Members of the Lions Club of Siliguri Unity Wings celebrated Raksha Bandhan by tying the Rakhis on the wrists of BSF jawans stationed on the Indo-Bangla border located at Fulbari, about 15 km away from Siliguri today.


Members of the Lions Club of Siliguri Unity Wings wished them long life by feeding them sweets as a symbol of brother and sister bond tied the sacred threads of protection on their wrists.

Jaya Periwal, President of the Lions Club of Siliguri Unity Wings, said that we sisters always tie Rakhi to our brothers in our houses on Raksha Bandhan Day, but we have taken this step keeping in mind those brothers who protect our country and who do not get an opportunity to go to their homes on this day.

BSF jawans also said that seeing the love of the sisters today, it has made their eyes teary.
