The Chief Minister, Mamata Banerjee, had held an administrative meeting with the officials of Coochbehar, Alipurduar and Jalpaiguri in Uttarkanya today.
The Chief Minister expressed her dissatisfaction for the pending works in the districts including Jalpaiguri. She gave instructions to the officials to complete the work before the end of the financial year.
The Minister told them to complete the construction of roads under the Rural Roads Scheme before the Pancahayat election. The price of eggs has been increasing since the last few days. She also asked the officials about the egg production in the district.
The Chief Minister spoke with the District Magistrate, Pritha Sarkar about whether the families of the deceased, who had lost their lives during the elephant attacks, have been given compensation or not.
Mamata Banerjee instructed the CMOH of Jalpaiguri Hospital to conduct an investigation before sending show-cause notice to the doctors. She said that arrangements for drinking water facility will be made available in the tea estates of the district at the earliest.
